The state-of-the-art ER for both adults and children is staffed by board-certified or eligible emergency room physicians and nurses, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, just like an emergency room that is housed within the walls of a hospital. Chippenham Hospital’s new nearly 11,000 square-foot Chesterfield ER is located at 9630 Iron Bridge Road, right near the Chesterfield County Airport.

Designed to meet the community’s growing needs, the new ER provides the following services and features:

• Full-service emergency care – the same services offered at hospital-based ERs
• Walk-in entrance and covered ambulance entrance for patient drop-off and pick-up with EMS lounge
• 11 ER Rooms, including a trauma room and a mental health exam room
• Adult and pediatric emergency care
• Staffed by emergency medicine physicians, specially trained emergency nurses and support teams
• Advanced imaging for diagnostics and testing, including CT scan and X-ray
• Onsite laboratory testing
• Fully integrated department of Chippenham Hospital
• No appointment is necessary
