Reston Hospital Center’s new standalone emergency room (ER) and outpatient imaging center — Leesburg ER & Imaging, is projected to open in fall 2026. The state-of-the-art ER will be staffed by staffed by board-certified or eligible emergency room physicians and nurses, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, just like an emergency room that is housed within the walls of a hospital. Reston Hospital’s new, nearly 14,000 square-foot Leesburg ER & Imaging will be conveniently located in the heart of Loudoun County, Virginia, across the street from Leesburg Costo and Target Super Center and on the same side of Edwards Ferry Road as the Dick’s Sporting Goods.
As Reston Hospital’s latest investment in the health and safety of the thriving Northern Virginia community, this new ER and imaging center will provide the following services and features:
- Full-service emergency care – the same services offered at hospital-based ERs
- Walk-in entrance and covered ambulance entrance for patient drop-off and pick-up with EMS lounge
- 11 ER Rooms, including a fully equipped trauma bay
- Staffed by emergency medicine physicians, specially trained emergency nurses and support teams
- Advanced imaging for diagnostics and testing, including CT scan, X-ray, and ultrasound imaging
- Onsite laboratory testing
- Fully integrated department of Reston Hospital Center, so if needed to be admitted, transportation is provided to main hospital
- Outpatient imaging center for walk-in or outpatient imaging tests, like CT scans, xrays, ultrasound and mammography in an accessible setting
