HCA Healthcare today announced that Jennifer Bocker, MD, MBA, FACS will serve as division chief medical officer for its Capital Division, effective May 1, 2026.
HCA Healthcare Capital Division spans Virginia and New Hampshire and includes 18 hospitals with more than 4,100 licensed beds. In 2025, the Division cared for nearly 4 million patients.
Dr. Bocker is an experienced physician executive, currently serving as associate chief medical officer for HCA Healthcare’s North Texas Division, where she has helped advance divisional priorities through physician engagement, operational alignment and quality performance.
Dr. Bocker joined HCA Healthcare in 2022 as chief medical officer of HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital. She later advanced to division leadership, building experience across clinical, operational and physician leadership roles. Before joining HCA Healthcare, she was a partner and executive board member of a large multispecialty surgical private practice in Colorado.
A board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Bocker is specialty trained in Level I trauma surgery and head and neck surgical oncology. She earned her medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine, completed her general surgery residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, and completed fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She also holds a Master of Business Administration in healthcare administration from the University of Colorado.
