Dulles, Va. — StoneSprings Hospital Center announced today that the HCA Healthcare Foundation has awarded a $25,000 Community Catalyst Grant to Dulles South Food Pantry to provide nutritious food and supplies to its neighbors in need throughout Dulles and the surrounding area.

Dulles South Food Pantry has seen annual growth of over 15% per year in the number of guests seeking food assistance, driven primarily by the fact that the area it serves is the fastest growing region in Loudoun County.

“Dulles South Food Pantry does incredible work helping so many individuals and families who cannot put food on their table,” said Tammy Razmic, chief executive officer at StoneSprings Hospital Center. “We are proud to provide this grant to help them further their mission. Together, we can make a difference for our community, and we applaud their commitment to creating access to nutrient-rich food, education and resources.”

Dulles South Food Pantry serves 260 families each week, providing nutritious food to over 1,000 individuals. In 2024 alone, it supported 2,990 individuals through 43,808 visits and distributed over 716,000 pounds of food equating to nearly 596,667 meals.

The funding is part of the HCA Healthcare Foundation’s Healthier Tomorrow Fund, a $75 million community impact fund announced this year that is designed to support innovative initiatives focused on addressing high priority community needs and health access.

“We are incredibly grateful for this timely grant, which comes as we face a historic rise in demand for our Backpack Buddies program for students, along with the urgent food insecurity needs of the broader community,” said Micki McMann, executive director of Dulles South Food Pantry. “Our priority is to ensure our guests have access to healthy food options, with an emphasis on fresh produce. We are committed to using these funds to provide nutritious and adequate food for all who rely on us.”
