Nathan Vooys named new Reston Hospital Center CEO

Reston Hospital welcomes Nathan Vooys to the top-rated hospital in the state for surgical care.

RESTON, VA Reston Hospital Center has named Nathan Vooys the new chief executive officer, effective March 4. Vooys comes to Reston from StoneSprings Hospital Center in Dulles, Virginia, where he has served as CEO for the last three years.

“Nathan brings a wealth of experience and dedication in driving a culture of growth and excellence,” said Dr. William Lunn, HCA Healthcare Capital Division President. “We look forward to him joining Reston, one of Virginia’s top facilities for surgical care.”

Under Vooys’s leadership, StoneSprings achieved a top ranking in consolidated quality outcomes, an “A” Leapfrog Safety Score rating, and more than 1,000 days with zero hospital-acquired infections.

He has been with HCA Healthcare for more than 10 years. Prior to Stone Springs, he held roles at two other HCA Healthcare facilities as CEO of Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Indiana and COO for Ocala Health System in Florida. He earned an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business.
