Women's mental health

Women's mental health care focuses specifically on the emotional and behavioral well-being of women. This can involve specialized treatment for disorders like depression, anxiety and feelings of isolation, as well as postpartum anxiety and depression.

NEW - Women's Perinatal and Postpartum Mental Health Program -- Now open with immediate availability and same-day appointments.

Dominion Hospital now offers a new outpatient perinatal/postpartum mental health program at Reston Hospital Center. This program is tailored to women experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, including postpartum depression.

Our women’s mental health services

The program’s primary goal is for women to increase and/or maintain their current level of functioning while adjusting to motherhood or attachment with the baby. Women will participate in a voluntary and comprehensive day treatment program at Reston Hospital Center.

Outpatient care

Our program offers a multidisciplinary approach tailored to women 18 years old and older who are:

  • Pregnant
  • Have just given birth
  • One year postpartum
