About Matthew Huk, MD
Biography
Matthew Huk, MD, is a board-certified colorectal and general surgeon with Surgical Associates of Richmond. Dr. Huk is a graduate of New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed his general surgery residency at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center—Mercy Hospital. Following medical school, he fulfilled a colon and rectal surgery fellowship with Indiana University’s Kendrick Colon and Rectal Center. Dr. Huk also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of Richmond
Care Philosophy
I provide comprehensive, individualized diagnosis and surgical treatment of Colon, Rectal and Anal Cancer, Diverticulitis, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Disorders of the anus and rectum including hemorrhoids, fissures, abscesses and fistulas, prolapse and fecal incontinence. My particular areas of focus include Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery and Enhanced Recovery after Surgery. I strive to make every patient feel heard, respected and comfortable throughout their treatment course.
