Visitation policy

Adult Hospital visiting hours are between 6:00am and 8:00pm. Our quiet hours are from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 8:00pm to 6:00am to encourage patient healing. Visitors are asked not to visit patients if they have a fever, cold, cough or other communicable illness. Visitors may be asked to wait to enter/exit the unit in events where resuscitation may be in progress. Visitors may only use their cell phones in the patient room, waiting rooms or lobbies. Visitors are encouraged not to talk in hallways or at the desk in intensive care units. No overnight visitors are allowed in semi-private rooms.

The visitation policy for ICU departments are below:

  • 5th Floor ICU (5A):  A maximum of two visitors in the room at a time; children under the age of 16 are not permitted.
  • Neonatal ICU (NICU): In consideration of our littlest patients, we limit visitors to two people at the bedside throughout your stay. Each baby is allowed to have additional designated visitors who will remain the same for the entirety of the NICU stay. Visitors must be with a banded person. Visitors must be over the age of 18.

Disruptive, disrespectful, violent, or impaired visitors will not be allowed in any department or unit and may result in dismissal from property.

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include end of life, religious visitation, as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.

All persons and property are subject to search. No weapons or firearms, no explosives or flammables, no knives or sharp object, and no pepper spray or mace is allowed on campus.

Quiet time

While we encourage visitation for all of our patients, we ask that visitors observe our quiet hours so that patients can gain proper rest for optimal healing. Quiet hours last from 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
