Information for our visitors
We provide information designed to answer our visitors' most frequently asked questions.
Visitation policy
All visitors must continue to wear a mask at this time. We ask that individuals with respiratory symptoms or other risk factors for COVID, such as exposure, refrain from visiting.
Patients without COVID, including those in the emergency room, are limited to two visitors at a time between 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Patients with COVID-19 are limited to one visitor at a time from 8:00am to 8:00pm.
Patients are limited to one visitor if the patient is staying overnight with us in the following departments/areas:
- Pediatrics
- Neonatal (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or NICU)
- Labor and delivery (laboring mothers)
- Postpartum care
- End of life care
Visitation restrictions
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
Critical care restrictions
Critical care units include the intensive care unit (ICU), progressive care unit (PCU) and intermediate care unit (IMC).
No unaccompanied visitors 16 years old or younger are permitted in the ICU. The ICU does not allow rooming-in overnight. Please do not bring live flowers, plants or animals into the ICU. Refrain from eating or drinking in the ICU patient rooms. There is a dedicated family waiting room for families to eat in. Occasionally, we may ask visitors to step out of the ICU and into the waiting areas during shift changes, while we perform procedures or tests, or respond to a crisis situation with a patient.
Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
NICU visitors are limited to the parents or to the mother and her support person. We highly encourage limiting visitation during the shift change from 6:30am to 8:30am and 6:30pm to 8:00pm to ensure the safety of the report given between nurses.
Labor and delivery
Only one visitor at a time is allowed.
