Wound care

Wound care involves medical interventions to heal a wound after injury. Specialized treatment is provided for wounds that are nonhealing or refuse to heal on their own. A vital aspect of treatment includes learning how to properly dress and care for a wound.

More about HBOT

Our hospital was the first in Richmond to offer HBOT, an advanced wound treatment option. HBOT is typically administered in an outpatient setting and involves breathing pure oxygen in a sealed, pressurized chamber.

Breathing pure oxygen increases the amount of oxygen in your blood. This process promotes healing by enhancing the white blood cells' ability to fight infection, stimulating the growth of new blood vessels.

We are accredited as a Clinical Hyperbaric Facility by the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society for meeting rigorous industry standards and practicing evidence-based medicine.
